Founded in 2015, Tessa Faye Talent is a Career Consulting Business for those pursuing creative endeavors professionally, with an in-house boutique Casting Office, specializing in bridging the gap between grassroots projects and far-reaching distribution. Credits include ABNORMAL (Off Broadway: Theatre Row), TALENTED PEOPLE DOING THINGS (Green Room 42), TALK TO ME (TheaterLab) and the upcoming SICK (The Mark O'Donnell Theatre, opening next week!) Tessa is on the creative team of AS SEEN ON (w/ Mark Duplass), as well as SANTA CON: THE WAR ON CHRISTMAS (featuring Catherine Curtin.) She is co-producer of the much-loved PILLOW TALK, which will appear at the Garden State Film Festival in March, and has two feature films (KILLINGTON & RETREAT) in post-production. As a performer, she has appeared at Goodspeed Opera, Arkansas Rep, and Pittsburgh CLO, but two daughters prefer watching her in syndication on THE ELECTRIC COMPANY and listening to her voice on POKÉMON (on their iPads.) She is a member of Actors Equity, a client of The Krasny Office, and a graduate of the University of Michigan's Musical Theatre Program.

Receive audition side 30 minutes prior to class. No prep necessary - but be ready to focus in and work for the two hours. Actors will be called into their "audition". You will read with a professional reader. An adjustment will be given, you will then take the time to prepare that adjustment, "go out in the hall" and return for round two. You may get asked to read a different role, to throw away what you came in with. You may be reading with someone you know, someone you've never seen before, or straight to camera. Practice what you do when you can't practice it exactly and you are forced to finish the job by handling the variables possible in an unfamiliar room.

Group instruction focuses on the process of preparing for and delivering auditions, rather than the overall acting process itself. How do I present my best self to casting directors & what kind of communication am I responsible for to yield results? Class will include self-tape techniques, what to bring to an agent night, what to bring to an ECC/EPA/open call, what to prepare should you get a manager meeting, what to bring into a casting director workshop, working with a reader, chemistry reads, contrasting monologues, etc.
